The General Audience. At 10 am in St Peter's Square, Pope Leo XIV continued his cycle of catecheses on the Documents of the Second Vatican Council with the Constitution Gaudium et Spes, on "Faith and social, political and economic life" (GS, 63-76). "Politics that tends to the wounds of peoples and of those who suffer injustice offers grounds for hope for the future of humanity," the Pope said. In his greetings he recalled the beatifications on Saturday 7 November in Antigua Guatemala and Santander and asked for prayers for his Apostolic Journey to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru. During the "cordial talks", the good relations between the Holy See and Chile and the Church's contribution to the social and spiritual life of the country were highlighted; regional and international issues were discussed, "with particular reference to migration and demographic decline" (our translation). (No. 0869, Bulletin, Italian)
