Today's Holy See Press Office Bulletin, Friday 30 October, so far contains six communications: the Message of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue to Hindus for the feast of Deepavali (N. 0852), the day's audiences, the appointment of two under-secretaries of the General Secretariat of the Synod, the notice of the briefing on Pope Leo XIV's journey to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru, and the notice of a press conference on the Laudato Si' Action Platform (N. 0853), and a Rescript on the disciplinary rules of the Roman Curia's Staff Regulations (N. 0854).

Message to Hindus for Deepavali. The Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue has sent Hindus, many of whom will celebrate the feast on 8 November this year, a message on the theme "Hindus and Christians: forging pathways of peace together in 'the spirit of Assisi'". The text recalls the gathering to pray for peace convened in Assisi by Saint John Paul II on 27 October 1986, forty years ago, and points to three pathways: prayer, universal fraternity and interreligious dialogue. Quoting Pope Leo XIV's Encyclical Letter Magnifica Humanitas (223), the message notes that dialogue plays "a decisive role, because at the heart of the great spiritual paths lies a message of peace". It is signed by Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect, and Msgr. Indunil Janakaratne Kodithuwakku Kankanamalage, Secretary. Bulletin

This morning the Holy Father received in audience: Archbishop Fortunatus Nwachukwu, titular of Aquaviva, Secretary of the Dicastery for Evangelization, Section for First Evangelization and the New Particular Churches; the Bishops of Albania, on their "ad Limina Apostolorum" visit; Archbishop Alejandro Arellano Cedillo, titular of Bisuldino, Dean of the Tribunal of the Roman Rota; Cardinal Claudio Gugerotti, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches; participants in the meeting organized by the Pontifical Academy for Life.
