Vatican Report | Sunday evening, 1 November 2026

Solemnity of All Saints at the Vatican: at noon Pope Leo XIV led the Angelus and, after the prayer, recalled the new blesseds of Georgia, the evacuation of civilians from Oleshky and the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar. The Bulletin stopped at the Angelus (B0859): no appointments today. Tomorrow afternoon, Mass for the faithful departed at Verano.
✅ All Saints' Angelus
From the window of the Apostolic Palace the Pope described the saints as a multitude that is "impossible to count", because "holiness, in fact, cannot be reduced to any calculation". "Holiness is not a privilege reserved for a few, but a universal vocation that speaks to each of us where we live," he said. And: "God sees the good that we do not see, knows stories that we do not know and reaches hearts to which we have no access."
🕊️ Appeals after the Angelus
Leo XIV recalled Pedro de Corpa and four Franciscan companions, killed in odium fidei in 1597 and beatified yesterday in Savannah, Georgia. On Oleshky he hoped that the cooperation between the parties, which made the humanitarian operation for civilians possible, "will strengthen the desire for dialogue and lead to new concrete peace initiatives". He greeted the athletes of the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar (until 13 November), the first Olympic event held in Africa, "a sign of hope coming from the world of sport", and the Friars Minor's Mission with the Poor in Rome from 8 to 15 November.
