Pope Leo XIV's surgeon: no clinical reason against the Latin America trip

🔴 "An ideal patient." Stefano Margaritora, the surgeon who operated on Pope Leo XIV on 13 October, told Vatican News that at discharge the Pope was in "entirely satisfactory clinical condition", with normal blood tests and the lung re-expanding on the usual timetable. The surgery was "routine" and had no complications; a full recovery is expected in about ten days. On the trip to Latin America scheduled for November 6–17: "I would say there are no clinical reasons why this visit should not take place." This is the doctor's assessment: the Holy See Press Office has not yet officially confirmed the trip. #LeoXIV #Gemelli #Vatican
