Doctrine of the Faith publishes "Venite ad me" on handing on the faith in an epochal change
The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith publishes "Venite ad me. Considerations on the Transmission of the Faith in an Epochal Change," approved by Pope Leo XIV on August 21, 2026. The document notes that handing on the faith to new generations "no longer occurs, so to speak, 'automatically'," and calls for putting the first proclamation, the kerygma, back at the centre: "Jesus Christ loves you; he gave his life to save you; and now he is living at your side every day." It is not a Doctrinal Note but a set of "Considerations," signed by Víctor Manuel Fernández and Armando Matteo.
