Leo XIV to Uruguay's bishops, priests and religious at Vespers in Montevideo's Metropolitan Cathedral, inviting the whole Church to days of prayer and fasting for vocations: "One of the secrets of evangelisation is to resemble the one whom we proclaim. In this land, where many of our contemporaries barely know Jesus Christ, that witness has a special power. I invite my brother bishops throughout the world to promote days of prayer and fasting in their dioceses for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and to consecrated life."
